The Arbitration Court for Transport is established and has operated continuously, and is attached to the Romanian Association for International Road Transport, within the meaning of its internal regulation, a part of the Arbitration code on transport and similar activities, governing all disputes submitted to it for settlement, in accordance with an arbitration convention.
The activity of the Arbitration Court for Transport is carried out in accordance with the Romanian Constitution, the internal legislation, the European Union legislation and the international conventions that Romania is part of.
In fulfilling its role to supply a specialized, private, alternative jurisdiction, the Arbitration Court for Transport assures the expedient and impartial settlement of disputes resulting from the transport legal relations and the activities afferent to transport, as well as from other disputes concerning which the settlement competence was entrusted to it.
The Arbitration Court for Transport benefits from adequate premises and equipment, as well as from specialized staff.
